The IT Specialist will analyze, design, implement, and maintain computer systems and networks, troubleshoot technical issues, and support force renewal programs by ensuring system reliability and security.
Basic Requirement: A degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. Alternatively, a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Professional knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and practices of operations research analysis, scientific methods, and techniques. Candidates must demonstrate management or leadership potential and meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions.
