The IT Specialist will be responsible for performing a range of technical duties related to information technology systems and operations. The position requires adherence to federal regulations and security protocols, including managing access controls and ensuring data integrity. The IT Specialist will support force renewal programs by contributing to the training and development of new employees, assisting with onboarding technical resources, and ensuring seamless integration of IT systems within the organization. They will also prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation for management and stakeholders as needed.

Basic Requirement: A degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. Alternatively, a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Professional knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and practices of operations research analysis, scientific methods, and techniques. Candidates must demonstrate management or leadership potential and meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions.
