As a Management Analyst in the McCain Fellows program, you will support the Department of War's administrative and management processes. Your primary responsibilities include providing guidance on administrative programs and management processes, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, regulations, and methodologies, and researching and analyzing a wide variety of issues to formulate solutions. You will work closely with senior analysts and managers to identify areas for improvement, develop recommendations, and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency. This role involves conducting thorough research, gathering and interpreting data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders. You will also assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, monitor program performance, and provide support for special projects as needed. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (or private sector) demonstrating ability in: 1) Providing support and guidance on administrative programs and/or management processes; 2) Applying law, policy, regulations, and methodology to ensure compliance; and 3) Researching and analyzing a wide variety of issues to formulate solutions. To qualify at the GS-11 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service (or private sector) demonstrating ability in: 1) Providing support on administrative programs and/or management processes; and 2) Researching and analyzing a wide variety of issues to formulate solutions. Alternatively, a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or a combination of specialized experience and education may qualify. To qualify at the GS-10 level, you must have a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps).
