As a Veterinary Ophthalmology Intern, you will participate in a 12-month structured training program focused on veterinary ophthalmology.
Your primary responsibilities include assisting specialist ophthalmologists in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions in animals.
You will perform comprehensive ophthalmic examinations, including slit-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, tonometry, and tear testing.
You will also assist in surgical procedures such as cataract extraction, corneal repair, and glaucoma management, preparing patients and monitoring anesthesia.

Applicants must be a qualified veterinarian with a degree in veterinary medicine (e.g., BVSc, DVM, or equivalent).
You must be eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria, Australia.
Demonstrated interest in ophthalmology is essential, with prior experience in small animal practice preferred.
