Apprentice Parks & Gardens

As an Apprentice Parks & Gardens, you will work under the guidance of experienced professional tradespeople to develop practical skills in landscape maintenance and horticulture. Your primary responsibilities include assisting with the care and upkeep of parks, gardens, and public green spaces. You will learn to operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers, while adhering to safety protocols. Tasks involve planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and watering plants to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine interest in horticulture, landscaping, or outdoor work. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
