The Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care to veterans with mental health conditions.
Responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
The nurse provides direct patient care, administers medications, monitors for side effects, and educates patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
