📋 Tasks and responsibilities
You will join a multidisciplinary agile data team made up of data engineers, reporting specialists, data functional analysts, project managers, data architects, data quality experts and AI specialists.
Facilitate discussions with business subject matter experts to capture data-related needs.
Map, analyse and understand business processes and operational and analytical data flows, both incoming and outgoing.
Convert business requirements into functional data requirements and technical specifications.
Design and validate conceptual and logical data models together with data architects.
Prepare the functional design of data developments in close collaboration with data governance, BI technical leads and ICT teams.
Work with the Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR and security compliance.
Support and coordinate testing of delivered data products.
Inform and guide business users, and help drive adoption of the delivered solutions.
📝 Your profile
Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of professional experience in data functional analysis.
Hands-on experience with data warehouse modelling, including the Kimball approach.
Proven experience in data modelling and in analysing and designing data flows.
At least 3 years of practical experience with the Microsoft on-premise stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI.
Solid SQL skills.
Previous experience as a data engineer is an asset.
Experience with Azure Databricks is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Professional command of both national languages, French and Dutch, at minimum B2+ level.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong conceptual thinking and business understanding.
High level of data literacy.
Able to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Autonomous way of working, with ownership and delivery focus.
Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Collaborative mindset, perseverance and flexibility.
Eager to learn and open-minded.
