We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with expertise in back-end system and online service to architect, design, and develop shopping experiences.
In this role, you will build expertise in online service architecture, API development, and distributed systems that power Buy For Me. Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.

- Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

The OAS (Off-Amazon Selection) Ordering team owns purchase orchestration for agentic and deterministic paths, offer qualification for e-commerce deterministic protocols (ACP, UCP), and order fulfillment workflows.
We are also building the Cart system for the OAS (Off Amazon Selection) program.
