We are seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the team responsible for building and owning the
VIRSAT infrastructure for merlins and automation framework.
This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, automation, data analytics, and MAC domain expertise, OS domain expertise, with the goal of democratizing OS features on embedded system.
As the SDM for this team, you will hire, develop, and lead a team of SDEs building the KMM system and
VIRSAT for a custom
ASIC in LEO system.

People & Team Leadership Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of SDEs focused on embedded and automation
Set technical direction and priorities, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term architectural investments Foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement Drive career development for team members, providing regular coaching and feedback
Collaborate cross-functionally with MAC domain experts, release teams, and system teams to align on roadmaps and dependencies Maintain and evolve OS drivers to support system requirements Oversee the design and maintenance of telemetry pipelines and operational dashboards for system health monitoring Make architecture decisions that balance performance, reliability, and maintainability for space-grade embedded systems Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
