The Department of Experimental Diabetology (DIAB) and the Junior Research Group Epigenetics of Obesity and Diabetes (EOD) invite applications for 1 Postdoc (m/f/d) starting January 1, 2027. We are looking for a highly motivated Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician to join our teams, which focus on understanding how obesity and type 2 diabetes reshape the epigenome, with the goal of identifying disease-associated genes and epigenetic alterations.
Using lean and obese mouse models and translational validation in humans, we investigate how interventions such as intermittent fasting, endurance training, and bariatric surgery can modulate disease-induced molecular changes.
