Polish Mother’s MemorialHospital – Research Institute (PMMH-RI) The Director of the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital – Research Institute announces a competition for the research position of Assistant Professor combined with the provision of medical services in the Department of Genetics.
Scientific discipline: medical sciences.
The purpose of the competition is to fill the research position of Assistant Professor, combined with the provision of medical services, on a part-time basis.
Candidates should hold a university degree in medical or biological sciences and a doctoral degree (PhD).
They should also have a research record documented by publications and a good command of English.
Candidates are requested to submit the following documents: • An application addressed to the Director of
PMMH-RI for employment in the research position of Assistant Professor combined with the provision of medical services in the Department of Genetics.
• Certified true copies of documents confirming the candidate’s education.
• An up-to-date CV covering professional experience and research career, including participation in research projects.
• A list of publications, arranged according to the structure given below.
• A bibliometric assessment of the candidate’s publication record from the last 2 years, carried out by the
PMMH-RI Scientific InformationDepartment.
• Plans for research development, including plans to apply for research funding from external sources, with particular emphasis on EU funds.
• A statement by the candidate confirming their knowledge of English.
• A statement of consent to the processing of personal data for recruitment purposes.
• If an employment contract is signed, the candidate must submit the statements, information and certificates of no criminal record from the National Criminal Register referred to in Article 21 et seq.
of the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offences and the Protection of Minors (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1304, consolidated text).
These must be submitted no later than the date of signing the contract.

The envelope must also show the candidate’s full name, correspondence address and contact telephone number.
The submission period runs from 20 October 2026 to 12 November 2026, until 10:30 am.
For applications sent by registered post or courier, the date of receipt by the Polish Mother’s Memorial Hospital – Research Institute is decisive.
The results of the competition will be announced on 12 November 2026 at 12:00 noon in Lecture Room No. 1 of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Building of
PMMH-RI in Łódź (candidates’ attendance is mandatory).
Submitted applications will not be returned.

PMMH-RI reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage without giving reasons.
