ByteDance Networking is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance.

Responsibilities
- Drive the design, buildout and operation of ByteDance's Global BBone Network;
- Work with Layer-3 NE to create the physical architecture for BD's BBone network
- Create the optical topology for long-haul terrestrial and submarine optical transport
- Be a part of the optical transport network (OTN) operations team
- Work with cross-functional teams, such as software developers, layer-3 network engineers, etc. to define and develop the automation required for us to construct a self-managed optical network.
- Perform network risk assessment and mitigation, and network change management.
- Manage and drive strategic network vendor engagement and deliveries.
- Create and review RFP/RFI for the optical transport component of the BBone network
- Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders from internal and cross-functional teams, to improve network and applications availability.
