Packers and Stockyards Projects

This project-based volunteer opportunity supports real Federal missions within the Packers and Stockyards Program. The primary responsibility is to assist with a regulations-based project, contributing to the development and analysis of policies and procedures related to the livestock and meatpacking industry. Key duties include: Conducting research and analysis on regulatory issues, including reviewing existing rules, policies, and industry practices. Assisting in the drafting and revision of regulatory documents, such as proposed rules, guidance, and reports.

Applicants must be enrolled not less than half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution.
