Pharmacy Supervisor (Oncology)

The Pharmacy Supervisor (Oncology) is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and reporting of outcomes for the Oncology Drug Stewardship Program. This role focuses on ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of oncology medications through improved auditing and management of requests for oncology drugs. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Formulary Program Manager, Pharmacoeconomics Program Manager, and Pharmacy Procurement Technicians to develop and enforce VA formulary guidelines, contain drug costs, and optimize medication therapy outcomes. The supervisor will lead initiatives to monitor drug utilization, identify opportunities for stewardship, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and therapeutic efficacy. Additionally, the position involves overseeing pharmacy operations related to oncology, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to quality improvement projects that align with organizational goals.

Basic requirements include: United States Citizenship; English Language Proficiency; Education: Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree; Licensure: Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Grade Determinations: GS-13, Pharmacy Supervisor (Oncology) requires 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in addition to meeting all GS-12 requirements.
