Physical Therapy Assistant

Under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant assists in the ongoing evaluation of patients referred to physical therapy by a physician. Key responsibilities include reviewing test information for patients in areas such as range of motion, strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility. The assistant implements treatment plans designed by the physical therapist, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities like heat, cold, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation.

Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
