Recreation Aid (Outdoor Recreation)

The Recreation Aid (Outdoor Recreation) is responsible for supporting the daily operations of outdoor recreational facilities and programs. Duties include assisting customers with equipment rentals, sales, and activity reservations using a point-of-sale system. The role involves maintaining and inspecting recreational equipment and facilities, including watercraft, to ensure safety and cleanliness. The aid will enforce rules and procedures for recreational activities, provide guidance to patrons, and assist with setting up and breaking down events or programs. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions, and the schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, point-of-sale systems, and rules and procedures including watercraft. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities. Possess a valid current driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle safely. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to work both inside and outside in variable weather conditions. Ability to work variable hours, including holidays and weekends.
