Permitting Policy Student Volunteer

As a Permitting Policy Student Volunteer, you will support real Federal missions through project-based work. Your responsibilities include: Strategic Planning: Formulate effective strategies consistent with organizational goals, examine policy issues with a long-term perspective, determine objectives, set priorities, and anticipate potential threats or opportunities. Compliance Monitoring: Assess, evaluate, and monitor programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance.

Applicants must be enrolled not less than half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited institution. Participation requires permission from the enrolling institution.

The Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council is a U.S. government agency that oversees and improves federal permitting processes for infrastructure projects.
