Registered Nurse--SICU

The Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) delivers direct patient care to critically ill surgical patients. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care based on patient needs and evidence-based practices. The nurse monitors vital signs, administers medications, manages ventilators, and performs advanced interventions such as central line care and hemodynamic monitoring. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f). Graduate of a professional nursing program approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
