Registered Nurse- Wound and Ostomy Care

The Registered Nurse (Certified Wound Care, Ostomy and Continence Specialist) utilizes the nursing process to manage conditions such as acute wounds, chronic wounds, fistulas, vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, and functional disorders of the bowel and bladder. This position is located at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital and will be required to float between Acute Care, Long Term Care, and Spinal Cord Injury units.

Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
