As a Structural Engineer Intern or Co-Op for Fall 2026, you will apply classroom methodology to hands-on modeling and design under the guidance of a Schaefer advisor, mentor, and project team. Your responsibilities include:
Performing structural analysis and design tasks for building projects using industry-standard software.
Creating and reviewing structural models and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes.
Collaborating with project teams to develop design solutions and address technical challenges.
Participating in project meetings and contributing to design discussions.

Qualifications and requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Strong academic record with coursework in structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and steel/concrete design.
