Gardener

The incumbent serves as a Gardener within the Environmental Management Service & Grounds Section, performing a variety of tasks related to exterior and interior gardening, landscaping, and grounds maintenance. Responsibilities include frequent walking, standing, pushing carts and wheelbarrows, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The role involves lifting and handling materials weighing over 23 kilograms (50 pounds) for extended periods, occasionally climbing ladders to prune or trim vegetation, and frequently lifting heavy objects such as bags of fertilizer and grass seed.
