Chief Health Informatics Officer Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse - Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) establishes formal informatics leadership at the facility level, ensuring knowledge of informatics is infused throughout the organization and health information issues affecting care delivery are clearly articulated and raised for action. The focus is to optimize effectiveness of patient care delivery and systems management in support of the VHA mission and goals. Key responsibilities include: Leading health care delivery by leveraging evidence-based practices, industry-leading research, and innovative care models.

Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency: Proficient in basic written and spoken English. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time the program was completed.
