Clinical Psychologist - Program Manager (Sign-on Bonus Eligible)

The Clinical Psychologist - Program Manager will oversee and coordinate psychological services within the assigned program area. Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the clinical program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychological care, and supervising psychology staff and trainees. The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating program policies, procedures, and treatment protocols to align with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. The psychologist will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, provide individual and group psychotherapy, and offer crisis intervention services as needed. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate psychological services into broader patient care plans, participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to research and training activities. Additionally, the position requires monitoring program outcomes, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements. The psychologist will also engage in outreach and consultation to enhance access to mental health services and support the professional development of staff through mentoring and training.

Must be a citizen of the United States. Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed, with the specialty area consistent with the assignment. Alternatively, a doctoral degree in any area of psychology with completion of a re-specialization program meeting conditions, or a doctoral degree awarded between 1951 and 1978 from a regionally-accredited institution with a dissertation primarily psychological in nature. Must have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program accredited by APA or CPA consistent with the assignment. New VHA psychology internship programs applying for APA accreditation are acceptable if sanctioned by VHA Central Office. VHA facilities offering full-time, one-year pre-doctoral internships prior to PL 96-151 (pre-1979) are also acceptable.
