Staff Psychologist (Suicide Prevention Coordinator)

The Staff Psychologist (Suicide Prevention Coordinator) is responsible for leading and coordinating suicide prevention efforts within the healthcare system. Qualifications and requirements include: - **Citizenship**: Must be a United States citizen. - **Language Proficiency**: Must be proficient in spoken and written English. - **Education**: Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program, or a re-specialization program, or a doctoral degree from 1951-1978 with a psychological dissertation. - **Internship**: Completion of an APA or CPA accredited professional psychology internship, or a qualifying VHA program. - **Licensure**: Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. - **Experience**: At least two years of professional psychology experience, including one year equivalent to the GS-12 level, with demonstrated competence in suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and program coordination. - **Skills**: Strong clinical skills in suicide risk assessment and evidence-based treatments. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and develop training programs. Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies. - **Preferred Qualifications**: Experience in a VA or military healthcare setting.
