Staff Psychologist (Education Debt Repayment and Sign on Bonus)

The Staff Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions for a diverse patient population. The psychologist will develop and implement treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and conduct individual, group, and family therapy. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, participate in treatment planning meetings, and provide consultation to other healthcare professionals. The role involves maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the psychologist may supervise psychology trainees, contribute to program development, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. They will also engage in outreach activities to promote mental health awareness and access to services. The position requires adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications: Must be a United States citizen. Must be proficient in spoken and written English. Education: Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program, or a re-specialization program, or a doctoral degree awarded between 1951 and 1978 with a psychological dissertation. Internship: Completion of an APA or CPA accredited professional psychology internship, or a VHA-sanctioned program, or a pre-1979 VHA internship, or board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
