The Senior Psychologist Program Manager oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of psychological programs within the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Program Management: Directing and coordinating psychological services, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and organizational goals. This involves planning, budgeting, and monitoring program outcomes to enhance patient care.
- Clinical Supervision: Providing supervision and mentorship to psychology staff, including interns and trainees, to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional development.
- Policy Development: Contributing to the creation and revision of policies related to psychological services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals to integrate psychological services into broader treatment plans, facilitating comprehensive patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Leading initiatives to assess and improve program effectiveness, using data-driven approaches to identify areas for enhancement.
- Training and Education: Developing and delivering training programs for staff on psychological topics, promoting evidence-based practices.
- Patient Care: Conducting direct clinical assessments and interventions as needed, particularly for complex cases, to model best practices and ensure patient needs are met.
- Research and Evaluation: Participating in research activities to advance psychological knowledge and program outcomes, including data collection and analysis.

Qualifications and requirements:
- United States Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Education: Must have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). The specialty area must be consistent with the assignment. Currently, APA accredits doctoral programs in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or combinations. PCSAS accredits programs in psychological clinical science. CPA accredits programs in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, clinical neuropsychology, and school psychology. An applicant with a degree in school psychology is not eligible for appointment. Alternatively, a doctoral degree in any area of psychology with completion of a re-specialization program in an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program, with the retrained specialty consistent with the assignment, is acceptable.
- Experience: Significant experience in clinical psychology, program management, and supervision is required. Specific years of experience may be determined by the hiring organization.
- Licensure: Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Additional Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team; knowledge of evidence-based practices and quality improvement methodologies.
