Psychologist

The Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role involves delivering evidence-based psychotherapy to patients, including individual, group, and family therapy modalities. The Psychologist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, participate in treatment planning meetings, and provide consultation to other healthcare professionals. Additionally, the Psychologist will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, engage in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to program development. The position may also involve supervising psychology trainees and participating in research activities as needed.

Qualifications include a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA, PCSAS, or CPA accredited program, with a specialty consistent with the assignment. Alternatively, a doctoral degree with completion of an APA or CPA accredited re-specialization program, or a doctoral degree awarded between 1951 and 1978 from a regionally accredited institution with a psychological dissertation. Must have completed a professional psychology internship accredited by APA or CPA, or a VHA-sanctioned internship program. United States citizenship is required. Transcripts are required to verify education.
