岗位职责
The Psychology Program Manager for Substance Use Disorder oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of psychological services within the substance use disorder treatment program. Key responsibilities include:
- Program Management: Directing and coordinating the daily operations of the substance use disorder psychology program, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards. This involves setting program goals, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting services to meet patient needs.
- Clinical Supervision: Providing clinical supervision and consultation to psychology staff, interns, and trainees. This includes reviewing clinical cases, offering guidance on evidence-based treatments, and ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Direct Patient Care: Delivering comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based psychotherapies to individuals with substance use disorders. This may involve individual, group, and family therapy modalities, as well as crisis intervention when necessary.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning to address the complex needs of patients.
- Program Development: Designing and implementing new clinical initiatives, such as specialized treatment tracks or outreach programs, to enhance service delivery. This includes developing treatment protocols, training materials, and quality improvement projects.
- Training and Education: Leading educational activities for staff and trainees, including workshops, seminars, and in-service training on substance use disorder treatment. Mentoring psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows in clinical and research skills.
- Research and Evaluation: Conducting program evaluations and outcome studies to assess treatment effectiveness. May also engage in research activities, such as data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings through publications or presentations.
- Administrative Duties: Managing program budgets, tracking performance metrics, and preparing reports for leadership. Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and federal regulations related to substance use disorder services.

Qualifications and requirements include: a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program; current licensure as a psychologist in the state of practice; specialized training and experience in substance use disorder treatment; at least 3-5 years of clinical experience in addiction psychology; prior supervisory experience preferred; strong knowledge of evidence-based therapies for substance use disorders (e.g., CBT, MI, contingency management); excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team; experience with program development and quality improvement; familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements for substance use disorder services.
