岗位职责
The Child and Youth Program Assistant supports the 92d FSS Youth Programs at Fairchild AFB, Washington. Responsibilities include assisting in the daily operation of a child or youth program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for participants. The assistant will engage children and youth in age-appropriate activities, including educational, recreational, and social experiences, while following established curriculum and program guidelines. Duties involve supervising participants during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and transitions, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization of the facility and equipment. The assistant will interact positively with children, youth, and families, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution. They will also assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation, and may be required to complete training modules and competency courses as directed. The role requires flexibility, as hours vary from 0 to 40 per week based on facility needs, and may involve working with different age groups within the youth program.

All levels: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with proof (diploma or equivalent) required. For Target Level: 18 months of experience in any childcare or youth program; completion of DoD-approved competency-training courses; and possession of one of the following: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Military School Age Credential, or other nationally recognized youth development credential; OR an associate degree with 24 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, youth development, human development, elementary education, special education, secondary education, youth program administration, recreation, or physical education; OR a bachelor's degree or 120 semester hours with 24 credit hours in the above fields. For Intermediate Level: Six months of experience equivalent to CY-01 Entry Level in a group program for children or youth; completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent); and completion of AF Orientation Training Program. For Entry Level: No previous experience required.
